Colorful Carrots

I created these carrots around the time I drew the peppers in the last post. In both cases I was inspired to draw produce that comes in an array of colors. I also had fun with trying out different colors and marks for each of the carrot greens on top!

Next week I'll show how I chose one of these drawings (the peppers or the carrots) to elaborate further...

This drawing uses artist quality colored pencils, markers and micron pens on Strathmore paper.

If you have not already let me know what brought you to the blog please check out the poll on the right side of the page!

Cornucopia of Produce

This cornucopia of produce is inspired by the wonderful pattern illustrations of Bannarot. Currently we take classes together at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He is a Thai illustrator who loves to draw the places he travels as well as pugs! You can check out his work at Bannarot.com or on Instagram @Bannarot.

Cornucopia is a 6x8" drawing using fine artist paper, pens, markers and colored pencil.
